The UAE fuel price committee has announced petrol and diesel prices for October 2024.
The UAE fuel price new rates will apply from October 1 and are as follows:
- Prices for super 98 petrol have been reduced to Dh2.66 a litre from Dh2.90 a litre in September.
- Petrol will cost Dh2.54 a litre in 95 specials, which is cheaper than Dh2.78, for example.
- Its E-Plus 91 petrol will be priced at Dh2.47 a litre, compared to Dh2.71 a litre in September.
- It charged diesel at Dh2.6 a litre, compared to the current rate of Dh2.78.
- Petrol prices were expected to ease in October with global oil prices keeping their head down in September.
In addition to firmer supply, news that Saudi Arabia was planning to ramp up production, Brent oil prices fell slightly to just below $73 in September from $78.63 in August as average.
Last week, news of Saudi planning to abandon the $100 per barrel ‘target’ and increase output saw oil fall more than 4 per cent in two days.
Since then, when UAE freedomed petrol prices in 2015 and removed it to parallel with world rates, with the rates revising over at the finish of each month. It will formally go ahead and announce retail petrol and diesel rates in the UAE tomorrow which will be aligned with global rates.
